BECOM was established in 1989 and spent its first thirteen years of operation focusing in the embedded systems space. The company partnered with QNX Software Systems in 1995 and currently serves as QNX’s distribution partner in the following markets: Slovakia, Czech Republic, Turkey, Hungary, Bulgaria, and Yugoslavia.

BECOM is an authorized reseller of third party products for companies such as Connect Tech., Corman Tech., TILCON Inc., Steinhoff, and RealFlex. The company’s expertise spans the following services, including hardware specifications and consulting services for:

• technical vulture-port assistance business
• realtime system specifications
• realtime communications specifications
• transfer transactions
• data collection in realtime
• database systems
• programming applications

The company offers a suite of its own products in the following areas: realtime system analysis and programming, production quality management, hardware and software for dataloggers, data processing and protocol creation, factory production management, bar code scanner hardware, as examples.

BECOM’s customer base spans many markets, and their customers all utilize QNX RTOS in their applications. Customer segments include energy, heating, ironworks, waterworks, meteorology, TV, military, economy, multimedia kiosks, hotel and restaurants, video and audio data recording, and internet.
